  a.) Personal preference - there are no specific industry guidelines b.) Surroundings - possible considerations are:
  • building height
    • ranch-style home with low profile roof - 15 ft to 20 ft pole
    • one story building – approximately 20 ft to 25 ft pole
    • two story building – approximately 25 ft to 30 ft pole
    • these are only general “rules of thumb
  • landscaping - tall trees may warrant use of a tall pole
